Jersey City Medical Center
The hospital began as the "Charity Hospital” when the Board of Aldermen of Jersey City bought land at Baldwin Avenue and Montgomery Street during 1882 for a new hospital. The facility is currently operated by Liberty Health and is the region's “state designated trauma center” and the only hospital in Hudson County to do open heart surgery. read more

Meadowlands Hospital
Meadowlands Hospital was to become the first hospital run as a for-profit corporation in the state of New Jersey. When the doors opened for the first time in 1976, Cavalli called the project "an impossible dream made possible." Within two weeks, hospital was 90 percent full, and had a staff of 900 doctors. read more
