The Jersey City Medical Center is
located on a 15-acre campus overlooking the New York Harbor and
Liberty State Park. The Campus presently includes two facilities,
the Wilzig Hospital and the Provident Bank Ambulatory Center. The
hospital serves as a regional referral, teaching hospital and provides
the highest level of care for women and infants, trauma, and cardiac
patients. The Medical Center is a major teaching affiliate of the
Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Inside our spacious facility, natural
light bathes your room and the Statue of Liberty gleams outside

Care Centers
Fannie E. Rippel Foundation Heart
Institute
With its state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, the Fannie E. Rippel
Foundation Cardiac Institute is the area's finest facility for outpatient
cardiac care. The Institute provides two high-risk cardiac catheterization
laboratories, a single plane and a three-dimensional, bi-plane along
with other diagnostic technology important to patients with heart
disease and the physicians who require the newest and most advanced
technology. The facility is the region's 'high risk' destination
for patients. Jersey City Medical Center has received approval from
the State of New Jersey to provide the region's only open-heart
services.
Port Authority
Heroes of September 11 Trauma Center
Named for all those who gave the most on September 11, the Regional
Trauma Center is the state designated Level II Trauma Center for
Hudson County. In addition to its responsibility for the region's
growing community neighborhoods and sprawling business district's,
the Trauma Center and the hospital's emergency medical service cover
the County's waterways, New Jersey Turnpike, Holland and Lincoln
Tunnels and Liberty State Park. The Center provides 24 hour trauma
surgery for adults and children. The Center has been active in all
regional disasters including the 1993 World Trade Center bombing,
several train derailments and HAZMAT incidents, Presidential Visits,
and was New Jersey's major responder on and after September 11.
Provident Bank
Ambulatory Center
The first building to open at the new hospital site, the multi service
Ambulatory Care Center provides patients with an easy and convenient
way to access outpatient services. Services currently include physical
and occupational therapy and adult behavior medicine. The first
floor is entirely dedicated as a Children's Hospital outpatient
center for children with behavioral or developmental health needs.
Kazmir Family
Regional Perinatal Center
This is the place for the region's sickest and most fragile
infants. The region's highest level of care for women and infants,
the Kazmir Family Regional Perinatal Center provides confidence
and hope for families. The Center has full time neonatalogists and
perinatologists, an intensive care and an intermediate care neonatal
unit and the support and expertise of a full service Children's
Hospital. Highly trained staff works closely with families with
a multi-disciplinary approach.
The Children's
Hospital of Hudson County
From asthma to developmental delay, the Children's Hospital of Hudson
County provides the broadest array of health care services including
medical, surgical and behavioral services. The Children's Hospital
provides the area's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and the only
pediatric emergency room. Its new Inpatient Unit offers the new
Toys ÔR' Us Starlight Playroom, complete with games, computers and
views of the Liberty Science Center. To make their stay that much
more pleasant, all patients receive the Disney Channel.
