Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) 2009
New Guidelines - PALS Initital Course
The goal of the PALS course is to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to efficiently and effectively manage critical ill infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes. Skills taught include recognition and treatment of infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest; the systematic approach to pediatric assessment, respiratory management; defibrillation and synchronization; intraosseous access and fluids administration.
Student must possess a current Healthcare Provider CPR card to attend this course.

PALS Renewal Course - New Guidelines
The ONE-DAY PALS RENEWAL is for those students with current (not expired) cards, who are comfortable with an abbreviated renewal course.

Completed registration must be received no later than two weeks prior to the course. If you do not receive confirmation and course materials ten (10) days prior to class date, you must contact the Community Training Center 201-324-5006 to confirm receipt of your registration. Please enclose or attach a copy of your current CPR Healthcare Provider card and, if you are registering for a renewal course, a copy of your current PALS card.
All incomplete applications will be rejected and returned for completion.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
