Advanced Life Support (ALS)
The Jersey City Medical Center (JCMC) Paramedics provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) Services for greater Hudson County. All 9-1-1 calls are screened by our dispatch center, HUDCEN, for the presence of a life threatening emergency. Those calls that are triaged as life threatening have an ALS unit dispatched to them. ALS is provided via chase cars or ambulances. Along with the Basic Life Support (BLS) unit, the JCMC Paramedics provide ALS care to our patients.
