Jersey City Medical Center Auxiliary
Looking for something fun and interesting to do and at the same time make a difference in the lives of others? If so, you may want to consider becoming a member of the recently formed Jersey City Medical Center Auxiliary.
The Jersey City Medical Center Auxiliary is a natural compliment to both the hospital’s volunteer program and Foundation. Members of the auxiliary volunteer their time in support of the organization’s mission. The Auxiliary’s objectives include improving community health awareness, enhancing the patient and family experience, and raising funds to support the auxiliary and other philanthropic efforts. The Auxiliary is based on a social connection, uniting a diversified community in support of a common goal – enhancing Jersey City health care services.
“Becoming an Auxilian is like joining a club; it’s a great way to meet interesting people, mix and mingle, and at the same time help others by becoming involved in projects that will enhance the lives of people in the community,” said Joseph Scott, President and Chief Executive Officer of LibertyHealth, which operates and manages the Jersey City Medical Center.
To date, members of the Jersey City Medical Center Auxiliary have:
- provided more than 50 newborns with handmade blankets and hats
- assembled and distributed more than 150 care packages designed to comfort and pamper patients during their recovery
- planted a rose garden on the hospital campus complete with benches to provide a tranquil and beautiful respite area for staff, patients and visitors
- volunteered their time at the Newport 10K race benefiting LibertyHealth and Jersey City Medical Center
New and exciting projects are on the horizon - we invite you to join us!
