The Rehabilitation Services Department at Jersey City Medical Center
The Rehabilitation Services Department at Jersey City Medical Center is known for its strong dynamic, and experienced interdisciplinary team serving patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics, in its In Patient Acute-Care setting and Out-Patient Ambulatory Care Center.
It is comprised of three Divisions:
The three divisions work collaboratively to provide comprehensive evaluations, treatment, and education to a variety of patients of all ages, exhibiting a wide-range of congenital and acquired disorders, communication, swallowing, hearing, psychosocial, and learning disabilities.
We are unique because we are an interdisciplinary acute-care inpatient rehabilitation team that interfaces with the medical, nursing and ancillary hospital staff. Our uniqueness is further reflected by our interdisciplinary out-patient programs, commitment and relationships with outside community agencies including school systems.
Our Mission is to provide the highest quality of care and education to all patients and help them reach their optimum level of functioning as well as promote quality of life.
The department’s Vision is to continue to be the pre-eminent Rehabilitation provider in the Hudson County region.
Our Acute Care in patient department is located on 6 and 7 West of the medical center.
Our out-patient Rehabilitation Services Department is located next to the hospital on the 3rd floor of the Ambulatory Care Center.
