Bring beauty to life - Volunteer at Meadowlands Hospital

If you believe that a well-rounded life includes serving others in your community, then the Volunteer Program at Meadowlands Hospital is the place for you!

Volunteers perform countless valuable services; working directly with patients or helping professional staff members in various departments to achieve the hospital’s continuing goal, which is to provide the best possible healthcare to the communities it serves.

Men, women and students volunteer lend a helping hand in various ways to make the patients’ stays more enjoyable and to enhance the services offered at Meadowlands Hospital. Volunteers perform essential services in nearly all of the hospital’s departments. Some of the areas of service are:

  • Patient Floors
  • LifeSpan
  • Physical Therapy
  • Same day Service
  • General Office
  • Gift Shop
  • Printing
  • Maintenance
  • Emergency Room
  • Food Service
  • Clerical
  • Purchasing
  • Store Room

Volunteers are an integral part of the hospital. Only a minimum of four hours per week is required and a “blue jacket” identifies each volunteer as a vital part of this dedicated group.

Each volunteer’s hours are recorded and awards are given at an annual reception to honor those who so generously donate their time and talents.

Meadowlands Hospital is always looking for people who want to share their love and concern for others.

Founded in 1976, Meadowlands Hospital, a member of LibertyHealth Systems, Inc., is a 200-bed non-profit acute care hospital that offers the surrounding community a wide variety of healthcare services. Other specialties and services include general medicine and surgery, pediatrics and gynecology, as well as a full range of diagnostic and ambulatory care services.
