Medical Oncology

The Hematology and Oncology Section at Jersey City Medical Center specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all malignant disorders (cancer) and diseases of the blood, including anemia, leukemia, and bleeding problems. The section services encompass comprehensive inpatient consultation and workup including CT guided biopsy. The section of The Hematology and Oncology provides to all its patients with inpatient chemotherapy regimens and coordinates radiation therapy with Christ Hospital which is in close proximity to the Jersey City Medical Center. We have specific multidisciplinary programs for the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer, breast cancer, cancers of the head and neck, gastrointestinal cancers and skin cancers.

Hematology

We offer consultation and treatment for a broad range of benign and malignant conditions, such as hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell anemia and thalassemia), hemochromatosis, bleeding and thrombotic disorders (von Willebrand's disease and hemophilia), hypercoagulable states, myeloproliferative disorders, myelodysplasia and anemia, and malignancies such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
